Can GT upper grille be installed on 2.0T?

Hello. I am trying to put the GT's upper front grille on my 2.0T Premium. Is it interchangable?

Ah, dark chrome. And the grill pattern. Is that it? I think that dimensionally they are identical. But attachment points, clips, whatnot, could very well be different.

This was discussed in this thread Has Anyone Pulled Their Front Bumper? and in post #25 I believe Brian3.3 (formerly Brian2.0) confirmed the switch when he had a 2.0.

If you're wondering it was confirmed that the lowers are not interchangeable in this thread Lower Front Grille on GT Series Does Not Fit the 2.0 Series!

I wanted mine to match so I had the bezel surrounds on the grilles wrapped on the uppers and lowers on mine, along with all the other silver trim.

Hey there. Did you have any success with this?

I gave it a shot yesterday, but ran into some complications when it came down to the actual grill removal. Those plastic tabs biting down on the grill and some electrical cable proved to be difficult to remove for me. So I ended up putting the bumper cover back on.

The upper grill will fit , but the lower grill from the GT model is smaller
