Buying new Stinger many many questions...

How are you finding those. the one that was close to here said it had black interior but the window sticker said red as an installed package?
Yep. Have to look at sticker. Some dealers list black since that is the default interior color even though it is red. Also dealers will list as a Stinger with no GT1. GT2, RWD, or AWD designation. Just took about an hour or so to do a nationwide search on Car Gurus to pull all the Kia Stingers available with a dealer selling above 45k. Then look for MSRP above 54k. Those are GT2 AWD models with extras. Then have to look at each window sticker to determine what options are factory installed on each vehicle. After you have a window sticker open just substitute the VIN for each vehicle you are curious about in the url address. There were lots of white models with red int and puddle lights that I did not list. Also a couple of blue ones with black interiors. Happy hunting!

My wife wanted the best deal she could find on a Aurora Black 2020 or 2021 GT2 RWD with remote start and of course puddle lights. So I had to figure out where the best deal was with all those requirements by looking at all available cars. Just took a little research.
I did a national search for available Stingers on Cargurus.com that gives you about 1500vehicles. Then select only V6 models to drop out the GT line cars that cuts it in half. Then limit the search to only cars above about 45k for dealer asking price to eliminate all the GT base and some of the lower end GT1 vehicles. This drops 800 down to about 500. Then eliminated the white, blue and red ones and give you about 343 a little more manageable search. While car color is usually listed it is sometimes wrong as well. More than once I have found a dealer list a Panthera Metal as Silver. Car gurus usually lists the vehicles MSRP but does not allow you to search by it. Since I know the MSRP of a GT2 AWD with extra options starts at about 54k so I just look at those. Some that do not list any asking price or MSRP so have to look at each of those as well. When you click on each vehicle they give you the VIN, so keep a window sticker window open and substitute that VIN (last part of URL) to view to window stickers for each car. Now pick up the red interior ones with puddle lights. A lot of times the dealership do not take to time to list the details in the search criteria. So it may only show black interior when it actually red, or may say silver when actually Panthera Metal. Have to look at the window sticker to verify. Plus Car Gurus usually gives you the dealer link to view pics of the car.
Took about an hour to look at all of them. Good luck on your hunt!
Luckily my best deal was only 2 hours away from me!

Lol! I didn't even know that you could do that. Is this a new feature?
Dunno- but the option is found when you access to edit your profile. You have to wait for the Admin to approve and edit the change. The page warns of a rather extensive wait time before you can log in again while the change it made, but I got a reply and was able to login same day!

perhaps they want AWD for better handling in heavy rain or stronger off-the-line launch? Unless it also snows in North Carolina?

to each their own... I have a RWD and drive the car where it snows and has ice... tires are what makes the difference... but then again I am crazy because I drove my RWD Stinger with summer tires in snow the few times we got it in the last few months... was pretty wild but I was super cautious and everything felt fine...

also I would say that if someone is planning for crazy mods and crazy high horsepower... I personally would take AWD over RWD... but that is personal preference... :D

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I live in MN, even here awd isn't a must, although you'd be hard pressed to even find a rwd Stinger up here for sale. I drove a fwd supercharged grand prix for 8yrs. It did just fine with snow tires. Snow tires make a huge difference on any car though. We ditched the crappy all seasons on our Jeep Grand Cherokee in favor of snows for the winter, made a day/night difference.

I have an awd gt, this was the 1st winter in a long time that I haven't had snows on my car. I hated it, even with awd, it didn't perform as good as I had hoped. Plus, the sidewall is way to small to deal with the massive pot holes that we have here. Yes, I did drive it this winter with the stock 19" rims/tires but I didn't have the confidence that I normally have with snows. Will be using 18x8s with snows next year so I can run more side wall.

You guys must get a lot more snow with harsher winters... this past winter we had five days of crazy heavy snow but it melted off the roads by the next day. I think I was a complete clown driving a RWD 19'inch GT with Summer tires... I had no problem if I was going nice and slow with my blinkers on... the hard part was parking on a hill... took a lot of wiggling and backing in n' out to align myself without sliding away...

When I was living in Virginia & Maryland I ran both a summer set and a winter set on my previous cars. Unfortunately I have very limited space where I am staying for the next 12 to 24 months so I have to go with all-seasons... I hope and pray the 2021/2022 winters are very relax and calm... </3

btw - isn't FWD better than RWD for snow? I remember my E36 was a nightmare in the snow even with winter tires... but the family Camry with all-seasons was just fine lmfao...

Yeah, It can be bad here, although we didn't get nearly as much snow as we normally get. Was way too cold I guess. Had 2 weeks (maybe more) straight of below zero temps.

Yes, fwd is much better, I was just thinking that awd is not a must here but a rwd vehicle would have a hard time. Especially with summer tires. I see these idiots with their Scat packs that are spinning all over the place not going anywhere. Up here, people usually store those cars in the winter.

Yeah absolutely!

Ironically... yesterday was in the low 60's and today in the high 60's temperature wise... looks like the cold weather came suddenly and ran off just as fast as it had appeared! :p

Why is AWD a "must" in NC?? Maybe it will be helpful twice a year? Save the money and get a better driving car with RWD...
Be ause awd gets you off the line faster!

I drove 1:45 to get the GT1 in the color combo I wanted. I negotiated all over the phone and email and knew my out the door cost before I got there. I didn't buy the warranty because of the good factory. I will admit that when I get around 60k I will probably get one because of all the tech on the car that isn't covered my power train warranty. My gt1 has puddle lights you sure the GT2 didn't ?

^ not always...

it seems that different reviews are saying different things... but I think it also depends on the wheel size and whether the tires are all-season/all-weather or summers or winters...

but yes generally speaking AWD does have a better launch off the line :D

Puddle lights are an option. like cargo mats and appliques

Black or Panthera metal?

Panther metal
I love that color for how it makes the car look more buisness class and draws less sport attention. I like quiest fast.

I have the same color as well but I saw a red Stinger yesterday, my goodness do I love it in red.
