To anyone looking at getting R1 Carbon GEOMET series rotors, beware that they are NOT selling you high carbon rotors.

The model number they are selling (for OEM blank) is 60421038 (front) 60421039 (rear). These are NOT the high-carbon version.
After finding out they are selling DFC rotors (apparently DFC is a part of their corporate umbrella) I was then able to figure out the actual carbon series have a model number that starts with 900.
To be fair, the website does state the 604 model numbers that they are shipping, so it is not a flat out bait-and-switch, but still rather deceptive that the caption is R1 Carbon GEOMET, and NOWHERE does it state that some modes are high-carbon and some are not (or that it is a DFC part).

What was also deeply troubling is that when I reached out to R1, the sales lady tried to lie to me and say that 604 and 900 series models were the same:

Alright, I have asked our warehouse team and they confirmed that 604 and 900 are just manufacturer codes for the items but the compound will just be the same. No worries performance-wise are the same.

Then, after I provided proof they were not (including a page from DFC's own website), they back-pedaled. After the sales lady looked it up, "strangely," the 900 series that "are the same as the 604 model" are little over $200 more for all 4 corners ($590 vs $370)

As far as "customer service" they merely offered the minimum, which was to give me a standard return (with me paying shipping cost on 50 lbs worth of rotors), and offered to sell me the actual carbon series (at full cost) when they come back in stock.

The cost I paid for the rotors (at least after a promotion) was competitive with other vendors prices for the same DFC 604 series. However, this is not what I was mislead to think I was buying.
So between that and the sales rep trying to lie to me, certainly "leaves a bad taste in my mouth".

I feel for you. I recently had a similar scenario when purchasing car care products for around $500. I received an email from the company saying my credit card was flagged (for no good reason), then after a week of back and forth they told me to just repurchase through paypal which I did, and then the real kicker is the 25% off that I had originally received on all of my purchased items was only applied to certain items. I didnt notice it until I saw my bill since they told me they would refund me the money after repurchasing via paypal since the sale was over. They rushed the order out and after asking them about it they said they couldnt honor it and shipping back would be on me. Thank you for making me aware of another company with shady business tactics. I will go elsewhere when I am in the market for brakes.

I recently had a similar experience with Cquence rotors.. ordered what I thought were the high carbon sport series with black zinc coating.. I received rotors with grey zinc coating, called em and stated I need black, I have black rims.. he said they just sent those as black zinc wasn't available somehow.. then somehow they bacame available etc etc and we're only $540 for all four. Which coincidentally was the same price as 4 rotors of their lower carbon rotors. He said the high carbon were only for specific vehicles the require it or some shit.. yet they're selling their lower carbon and higher carbon sport series at different prices. I bet everyone is getting lower carbon, somewhere I heard Cquence gets their blanks from R1 concepts... Would make sense. Duping all of us with the "high" carbon selling point

Dang. I probably have regular rotors then as well. That would explain why they're still squealing..

So, who to get high carbon rotors from? Centric only seems to sell REAR high carbon rotors (on rock auto).

DFC makes high carbon versions of the blanks, but from what I can tell from my research the drilled/slotted rotors are all regular carbon.
It appears if you order single piece rotors from R1 or Cquence you will get DFC rotors.

Here is a breakdown of DFC's model number scheme, you can find your model etched into the vane side of the rotors:
The 5 digit suffix for 3.3L Stinger/G70 is 21038 for front, and 21039 for rear. On drilled and/or slotted there will also be an L or R at the end
Blank no coating Prefix= 600
Blank + geomet Prefix = 640
Blank high carbon + geomet Prefix = 900
Drilled + Slotted + geomet = 830
Drilled + geomet = 820
Slotted + geomet = 810
Zinc = 631/621/611 respectively to geomet versions of drilled+slotted/drilled/slotted listed above.
Black Zinc = 633/623/631 respectively to geomet versions of drilled+slotted/drilled/slotted listed above.

So ACTUAL high carbon blank fronts = 900-21038 and rears = 900-21039

From what I can gather ordering "high carbon" rotors direct from R1 or Cquence website results in regular version of the rotors.
So if you want the high carbon blanks from either of those two vendors you would have to special order.
buybrakes .com lists them on their site, but beware they will sell you a part that is out of stock with a "it ships when it ships" mentality.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
As a follow up, the so called black zinc coating seems to be already wearing off on the hub, I've had em on a couple months.... Not to impressed
