I may be misunderstanding the syntax of the message, but I just received an email from a dealer that makes it sound like we may be able to build our Stingers on the Kia website by sometime next week, which would certainly answer our features/options and pricing questions. Let's keep our collective fingers crossed, incant our piertotum locomotor charms, pray, whatever works for you. And check in on the website regularly.

Ahhhhh --- good news... I think. I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed! Thank you for letting us know.

Friendly Kia of New Port Richey taking reserve requests for the 2018 Kia Stinger GT

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Car shoppers looking for a vehicle that "simultaneously" fulfills their needs for the daily commute as well as their need for speed, look no further. The 2018 Kia Stinger, the first-ever Kia sports car, is arriving on lots around "December" 2017, including at Tampa-area Friendly Kia, and it will hit speeds up to 167 mph while also providing ample cargo and passenger room for long trips.

While many sports cars either achieve top speeds but have a small interior, or have a large interior but fail to achieve race-worthy speeds, the 2018 Stinger does both well. For car shoppers looking for Gran Turismo (GT) comforts, the 2018 Stinger has 93.9 cubic feet of passenger room, 23.3 cubic feet of cargo room in its trunk, and 40.9 cubic feet for cargo available with the rear seat folded. And with its top 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.7 seconds, plus available information on G-forces, lap times and engine oil temperatures, the 2018 Stinger is surely a vehicle that is primed to win on the race track. The Stinger has a base top speed of 130 mph and the aforementioned 167 mph for trim grades with its 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbo engine.

Just saw this. If true, this is some progress.

I am almost certain I want one but are you guys willing to buy one without a test drive?

Fingers and toes crossed.:D

Whereas, I will be willing to submit a deposit but I've already told the sales department that unless that deposit is 100% refundable and not kept as a downpayment for any future Kia purchase, I won't be giving them a deposit. I love the car but if I don't like the drive or how the Stinger handles, I'm not going to buy it and they aren't going to sell me some other Kia vehicle. My local dealership hasn't started accepting deposits or pre-orders yet.

I've got 3 sales people competing for my business. I told them whoever gets me information first, gets the sale. I'm sure I will be hearing something soon. I'm an evil SOB. :D They were all pretty knowledgable about the car; well, as much as we currently know about it. My bet is on a younger fellow who showed me the showroom car as he seemed the most interested in the car himself.

nvm it popped back up. Fingers crossed!

That'd be great! I'm the guy who wants everything but the sunroof and the AWD. I'm assuming that they'll still be offering build-your-own after I've taken a couple of test drives.

This actually happens outside the Twilight Zone?!

Don’t forget your toes.

I will test drive but has to be better than the new 2018 Optima and 18 Honda accord.
Given the effort Kia has put into the Stinger, I'm pretty sure the Stinger will win those contests. Whether it'll beat the German, Japanese, American, and Italian competition is an open question. And price is a factor. Is the Stinger worth that much more than the Optima or Accord to you? Should you throw down the extra for the Quadrifoglio or the AMG E63 sedan? For me, the Stinger approaches my sweet spot. I'm not planning on spending a lot more than I think the Stinger will cost but I'm willing to pay for what I think the Stinger will offer. Waiting for that test drive, or maybe two.

I'm hoping this is true for this week. I've been wanting to play with the "build your own" Stingers for months now.

I believe that Kia will release that tool before they start their advertising blitz because when people see a commercial for a Stinger, ideally they should be able to log on to Kia's website to see prices, options and info on the car right away. Right now they will just find some concept stuff and a "sign up to receive updates" banner. That won't do Kia any favors. If these are going to hit showrooms in a month or so, I would think advertising in the US will start up in the next couple of weeks or sooner.

You could buy two fully loaded V6 Stingers for the entry price of an E63...

The Kia website has been down since earlier today and I’m wondering if they’re doing the maintenance on it adding the stinger info what do you
