Has anyone installed body side moldings on their car?

I know it looks better without them. But in a world filled with discourteous, rude drivers, it's either body side moldings, or regular trips for paintless dent repair. I once came out and saw a kid repeatedly slamming the door of the car they were getting out of into my car, giggling at the sound it made! Unfortunately, I think it's a must-have.

Has anyone installed either of these (or any others):

Thanks!

Park in the "south forty" and pick a higher elevation end stall, both if possible, and you won't have to glue unsightly "armor" strips to your doors.

I park in the middle of nowhere... Spaces all around, some @sshole just has to park behind me.

Behind is good: hard close beside you/me is not good. Hasn't happened yet in forty-one months: I really do a lot of walking: this weeds out everyone but the most conscientious in our sedentary society. :P

I bought and today installed the body side moldings from Sport Wing (made by Dawn Enterprises). Below are a couple of pics.

In short, I'm completely happy with them. The paint match is absolutely perfect. The length of the moldings is also excellent. The front door couldn't be any longer, and likewise if the rear door was any longer it might have trouble adhering because of the curvature in the door skin.

The moldings themselves might be a little thinner and narrower (1 1/4") than on some cars (noticeably smaller than those on my Subaru Crosstrek), but any larger would probably look out of place on the Stinger. As it is, I think they look unobtrusive. Not the completely clean look of the naked doors, but in the real world of undisciplined kids and in general negligent people who think nothing of slamming their doors into the car next to them, I'm more than happy to make the trade-off of perhaps slightly less 'pure' lines in exchange for avoiding regular trips for paintless dent repair. They look completely 'factory', like the car came with them.

The cost was $138, which on one hand seems high for 4 pieces of plastic. But then, I couldn't make them myself and look this good for that price, and they clearly are finished to a precise paint match.

Can you show a larger view of the car (further away)?

How much of a challenge was it to install? What did you use for reference points/alignment?

Just installed mine there very easy to install took about 20 minutes for all 4 doors just read the instructions all you need is masking tape and tape measure and clean doors real good they give you cleaning pad as well.

The instructions are to measure from the bottom of the doors, and make a ‘line’ with a strip of masking tape.

I was very finicky about the measurements. I didn’t want the molding to be skewed. Purple painter’s tape has a fair amount of flexibility and ‘bend’ to it, so I fussed with it for a while to get it to where I was happy with it.

I’d also suggest being a little careful in how close you position the molding to the edge of the door. Too close and it can hit the adjacent door when opening. I gave about 1/2” of space, more than the 1/8-1/4” the instructions suggest.

Not too shabby. I always feel like they may not be in the right spot to prevent anything though. Like if the widest part of the door on the car next to you is higher than the trim, it won't help anyway. Hope it works for you though. It looks fine.

The price must have gone up in the last week or two you purchased them. They want $205 for HiChroma red. Did you use a promo code?

TSW rims?
