Anyone ever think about color-matching the front windshield trims? My last 2 vehicles were body colored window trim but the stingers are gloss black. thoughts?
Idea never entered my mind. And now that you mention it, I can see that these gloss black side pieces have been "invisible" to me: I've simply associated them as part of the windshield assembly and would never have imagined them body colored. I'm not a fan of turning the rear-side reflectors into a body colored strip and this would smack of the same mindset to me: to me it would look odd to have a Silky Silver A pillar in two sections, which is what that would look like. As a windshield border in gloss black it is, as I say, "invisible", which is how I like it. (the analogy with the rear-side reflector doesn't break down here, because as a reflector it is "invisible" as per not attracting attention: who bothers to focus on reflectors? as they are a necessary "evil": but to cover a reflector up draws attention to it, perversely denying the reason for covering it up)
No but I kinda want to do my sunroof and header panel in body color since I don't really want to see out of the sunroof to begin with. I doubt I'd be able to find a proper colored wrap though. Maybe a 2 tone thing, but I'm not sure how that'd jive with the car's aesthetic.
