Received my unit this week and installed it on the car on Wednesday.

Fitment 9/10
- You will likely need to trim a small part of the inner plastic shroud around the radiator/intercooler.
- The hole for the third bolt that goes through the middle of the front camera/sensor on the GTS/GT LTD did not line up.
- If you have a newer Canadian GT LTD and the dealership installed the quick connect in the front grill for the block heater, you will need to remove the entire cable all the way back to the block heater itself.

Quality 9/10
- Comes packaged extremely well, and from what I could see, all the welds were clean. I had zero damaged fins, but the thing is heavy!

- I was sort of annoyed that they didn't include one more clamp to replace the passenger side rivet clamp on the factory hose you otherwise need to reuse..

Overall 9/10
- I have my JB4 out of the vehicle right now (winter/haven't reinstalled yet) but even on the stock tune you can feel a difference. In particular, the throttle response is much better than it is with the stock intercooler. Would recommend.

How does it look with the bumper back on?

I'd like to add that the intercooler stands out more than the original.

Thanks for taking the time to write out your review! I feel like with those fitment issues (having to cut plastic and bolt holes not lining up) should result in a lower fitment score... But, obviously I don't know since I don't have one.

There are no fitment issues, I didn't have to cut anything. I didn't have those issues with the bracket on top. Did you make sure not to tighten the sides before making sure it all lined up?

I've seen a few people say that bolt hole doesn't line up.

I'm referring to the OP.

have you checked the weight compared to the OEM one?

I checked the weight before trying to install mine Saturday. Stock is about 10 lbs, this one is 20 lbs.

Great to hear! Would love to buy one soon before the sale ends!

I tightened the sides to verify before checking the center bolt line up. It's definitely not aligned, but likely has to do with it being Canadian market and a GT LTDas opposed to USDM and a GT2. Not concerned at all though, as the sensor lines up perfectly without the third bolt.

Has anyone noticed IAT changes? Its 70 here in georgia and I have bms intake that I installed at the same time as intercooler . Driving around town today at about 40mph IAT is 104 and at stop lights 118. Since I installed them at the same time I have no comparison. What's your results?

Mine fit perfectly no mods required for my gt but the clamps where the wrong size and I assume they are sending me new ones since they responded to my email quickly.

Intake temps cruising and or at idle are irrelevant my dude. You need to log the car under hard long runs, or back to back runs to see the benefit ( in the temps ).

Any intake system will heat soak at a stop. True CAI should cool down quickly once you're moving, while something that pulls from the engine bay will take more speed to flush out the hot air.
I'm generally happy if it's within 20 degrees of ambient.
As said, you'll only notice the difference in the intercooler when really running it. Check out the thermal videos on youtube. It's quite impressive to see how the intercooler heats up a few seconds into a run.

I knew when I purchased those intakes heat soak would be a factor but am happy with them so far. Thanks for the quick tutorial on the intercooler to the newbie add modding his car.

I noticed how you mentioned you didn’t have the jb4 tuner actively installed at the time of this post and you mention winter time. I’m assuming their could be some issues with running it during the winter?
Just trying to educate myself I am awaiting for mine to be delivered and winter is around the corner.

No, there's no issues. I didn't have the jb4 installed again yet, as is changed from an 18 gt2 to a 20 gt2 and was being lazy.
