I am wanting to go with a black STINGER badge on the rear, but the only place I can find it is importshark for $85. Is this available anywhere else? Or, has anyone painted and clear coated the regular STINGER badge?

Thank you.

Get some adhesion promoter, then prime and paint. It’s fairley easy to do. Or pay someone else to do it.

By the time you buy supplies you're really only spending about $40 for someone else to paint it.

Thank you for this. I found it on the US ebay for only $16.
Bargain at twice the price....good you save some cash, go easy fitting it once it arrives.
Plenty of do’s & don’ts to be read here.

I noticed that listing before but it says the badge is ~20 inches wide. That's about 6 inches wider than the 14" OE chrome badge. Has anyone actually purchased and compared? I think a 20" badge would look way too big.

I ended up buying a chrome one and painting it myself using the Dupli-Color Shadow Black Chrome paint kit.

How’d it turn out?

Really good. I like the paint kit as depending upon the number of coats you do, the more chrome vs solid black it will look. Mine has a nice black chrome finish.

I think that size is a typo on their side they are normally 14” x 1”

................It will chip , Chrome is virtually impossible to Paint . I've got a Stinger badge to prove the point ( 2 layers of primer , 4 coats of black and 3 coats of clear coat................on my second effort I used warm plasti dip and it is fine

I agree. I used Plasti-Dip on my first try. It lasted a few months. I then went the warmed Plasti-Dip route and it lasted another few months. When I took my car to have the reflectors painted I noticed the Stinger emblem was beginning to chip again. I had the shop paint it for me and its no longer something I have to worry about.

I bought this one on Ebay and it's not the same as the OEM script. The top of the lettering is flat and not rounded like the OEM script and it's not glossy black. Just didn't look as nice. I bit the bullet and went with Importshark's glossy black. No problems whatsoever since I bought it 3 months ago.
I understand, I assumed it was OE as the photo looks identical to the chrome version. Those who have purchased this from them should call the seller on it if this is the case.

Did you use the same paint as me? The Dupli-colour shadow chrome kit?

my color coats were flat black , it will last for a few washes and then you'll probably see a few chips

I’ll keep an eye on it. The paint I used is designed for use on chrome so I’m hoping it holds up.
