I have a couple of years of warranty+extended left, and am not committed enough to modifying my car to deal with the hassle of having to uninstall tuners or hide evidence of mods before servicing. But I am intrigued to know what other Kia owners consider good mods that wouldn’t invalidate the warranty, presuming such exist?

Eibach sways. The dealership installed them too. Intakes, if Kia installs them, won't void warranty. I'd also be interested in hearing of other mods that Kia has installed for someone. If the install is also warrantied they cannot void the original warranty.

Most mods ppl do when they dont want to worry about warranty are springs/coils, wheels, sway bars and sometimes intakes as well.

So mostly suspension and cosmetic stuff

Hey @Max Noh,

Modifying a Kia under warranty has always been a very complicated topic. As a company that sells many aftermarket parts, we wanted to dive deep and research what will void a factory warranty.

If you would like to read what we have found, I will provide a link for you right here: (LINK)

My TL;DR is that anything from the K8 Stinger Store won't void your warranty!

Thanks, Brendan. I am in Canada, so the Magnuson-Moss Act doesn’t apply. When I purchased my Stinger in the Summer, I spoke with the head of the dealership’s service department, and he did say that the drivetrain warranty would typically be invalidated only be mods affecting the engine or transmission, but I don’t have that in writing.

Mando ECS10, is a great mod that provides many hours of tinkering fun.

Super easy install too

And that's where it gets tricky. I wish you good luck. We do however still have plenty of suspension and cosmetic parts on our website!

I asked the Kia service manager about the intakes, spark plugs and JB4 tuner yesterday. For sure the spark plugs including regapping them would be fine. He didn’t seem to have a problem with the intakes, but he did say he would only install the tuner as “side work”. So likely it may be an issue. I didn’t ask him about anything else, but he did bring up the exhaust without discussing installation, so potentially that as well.
