I have not found the summer Michelin's in any degree less than excellent in rain, and even cold conditions. Admittedly, the weather had been mild, well above freezing for weeks before the sudden, early spring snap back to winter weather, so the road was not freezing even though the air was at or just above freezing. I drove fast and the tires felt like they were biting well. My confidence increased as I went. Only much later did I receive the "news" that I had violated the warnings about driving summer compound rubber below the recommended temperature of c. 40F.One consideration might be the tires. The GT comes with summer tires, and in staggered sizes. So unless you live up north and regularly swap out for winter rubber, you'll find those summers aren't real good in the occasional ice and snow ... or even the wet.
And summer rubber has a way of erasing itself faster that all-seasons, so buying 19's in two sizes is gonna hurt the pocketbook. Maybe I'm too practical.
