My Optima is there for an engine replacement and has been there for a month. When it died at 132,500 miles on the freeway, I had it towed there. It was a week before they were able to diagnose the failure and seek approval from HQ to replace. Apparently, they only have 2 Master Technicians who are able to perform the replacement, and there were almost 30 other vehicles ahead of me. They said they have the parts they need, and that it will take between 6-14 hours to complete, but the actual start has been a moving target and there is little communication. I also have not been provided with a loaner vehicle and rental cars well exceed the $40/day maximum as allowed in the settlement. I reached out to the General Manager to ask about negotiating a good price on a used 2018 Stinger GT2 they have 2 days ago and have heard nothing back. I've been hung up on repeatedly, heard loud cussing while I was on the phone, and waited more than 5 hours for my advisor to respond to a text message asking for a status update. I'm trying to be patient.

Walk in and talk to someone. Phone tag is next to impossible

Go to Crown Kia in Dublin. A much better experience. So far so good with them.

Update: Engine swap is complete as of yesterday afternoon. Seemed to run fine. Took a while for them to find my key. Went to turn on my radio and no power to the head unit. Of course this is well after closing time and no service on the weekends. Advisor lets me take home a '21 Sorento for the weekend. On the plus side, they waived the costs for a new serpentine belt, a transmission fluid flush, and a brake fluid flush. Parts alone would have been over $100. Will be talking with the GM to discuss that used Stinger on Monday...

Update 2: Radio still not fixed, but Service Advisor said that the Technician confirmed it was working when he was test driving it after the engine swap. Now the dealership is trying to get me to pay for a used head unit at about $600 with them generously waiving the labor portion. I don't think so. Kia Consumer Affairs is now aware of the issue. GM never responded to my emails and the sales staff wanted to play games on the pricing, so I will not be getting a Stinger (or any other vehicle) from Capital.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
