• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I think this is a wild goose chase or a case of Chinese whispers but I’ll run it past you guys just in case.

A customer came in today and asked me whether I’d had any problems with my brakes or brake lights not working. Apparently a friend of his, who also has a Stinger, is having problems with her brake lights not working and her brakes not functioning. She told him there’s a recall out on Stinger brakes (there’s not) and there is something on the KIA website about the problem (not that I can see). I’ve had a bit of a Google and can’t find any other similar reports and there’s nothing on the forum obviously.

I’m not on FB or any other forums so I’m wondering if anyone who is has heard of anything similar.

Thanks.

Not heard anything but I’m not on Facebook either. Haven’t had any issues with mine touch wood.

I haven't heard of anything either.

She probably thinks the middle part of the brake lights is supposed to light up.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks for taking the time everyone. I’ve got some more info now and yeah, it’s a giant beat up. Apparently she was having brake light problems, did some research and found details of the wiring harness recall on the KIA website. Yup, you guessed it, the US website. Apparently she’s asked my customer about it, he’s said ‘Buggered if I know, I’ll ask the shopkeeper; he’s got a Stinger.’ And somehow it’s ended up in my lap. So yeah, much ado about nothing. Thanks everyone.
