Any exhausts? Intakes? Engine mods for the 2.0? All I've been seeing is the 3.3. Starting to regret getting it a little (JK)

Yes, yes, and yes. Jun BL and a few others for exhaust; Importshark.com for intake; Lap3 as well as Bytetronik for chips. Race chip and Burger Tuning are beta testing for the 2.0 as well. You can find everything I mentioned here on the forum . Just search the forum list for related topics. :) Welcome to the "hive!"

Thanks brother.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Please be tasteful. I4's are fun to get more HP out of and often have a lot of leeway, such as with ECU remapping, bigger turbos, improved inter coolers, et cetera, but please don't put in a noisy exhaust on it (particularly one of little to no benefit, performance wise). People doing that en masse is what killed various car models in the past. The Stinger is a great product and it would be nice to see many models to come. Please don't make it despised by other drivers/pedestrians and an insta-ticket box. Right now it's a car police are unfamiliar with, wives could approve of, and still "fits" (on the surface) with Kia's family oriented brand. If it becomes associated with ricers, the car will be nixed in the US. Tune for the performance, not to annoy everyone around you. Obviously it's your car, and you can do whatever you want with it, just be cognizant that the least beneficial aspect of a performance upgrade (the exhaust) is also the one which will cause the most problems for every other Stinger driver. :ninja:

@Sensibly Spirited Driver I've a feeling that the majority of Stinger owners are past the "fart can" stage ;)

I hope so! :)

I've seen some posts on here where people were changing the air intake to make it noiser. There wasn't any discussion about the quality of the air filter that protected their engine, they just wanted the cheapest means to increase noise. I also saw a review of the car where the guys were complaining that the engine sounded great inside, with the fake noises, but outside it wasn't noisy enough. So, it's important to them that other people "hear" there car outside the vehicle.

I'd prefer that my engine was silent, and hope to get an electric Stinger some day. Don't get my wrong, I love the growl of a track car that has been tuned for maximum performance...while racing on a track. Outside of a track, I want my car to be as quiet as possible. The only track I have been to was the Nürburgring, and I rented a car. I don't imagine I'd take my daily driver to a track, I'd build a track car for that. However, if I lived near the 'Ring, I would take my Stinger there, but I would not be pushing it to the edge, and rinsing the brakes, I'd just be driving spirited, and rent a track car if I wanted to really go at it. Rinsing the brakes would be the main concern, as well as the hassle of having to change my oil at the track for racing, and then back to an appropriate oil for the drive back. There are lots of people who take their dailies to the ring to drive in a lively fashion, but not push the brakes so hard they need new pads after a few laps, nor work the engine so hard they need race oil.

My friend tunes his cars. He has an exhaust on his Audi that increases performance and is quieter than the stock exhaust.

Oh, one other thing. Both my tuner friend and I prefer "sleepers". The biggest drawback to the Stinger has been all the people staring. One guy stared at it so long he drove onto the sidewalk. It's a sporty looking car, but, I had no idea it was going to cause the reaction it does. One reviewer had referred to it as a "sleeper". Clearly it's not! It seems to be standing up and doing somersaults for people. I guess I have to blame myself for that. The Panthera color makes it look "fast" exotic and dangerous, which, in reality, it is. I'm just worried about people getting into accidents looking at it. The last thing I'd need is to make it noisy! Hahaha.

Lol if you wanted to fly under the radar, a Stinger isn't it! :p

Exhaust is one of the better upgrades for turbo cars. So do what you want and get exhaust! At the end of the day it’s you who is making the car payment so enjoy it!
