Anyone else have an issue with their A/C not cooling quickly? Today I started the car which was warmed up from a previous drive, I was heading on the highway home so flipped on the a/c. It blew warm air for 10+ minutes before even starting to cool and was just starting to get cold after 15 minutes. It was about 80 degrees outside with low humidity. I had the system on auto low. I have less than 10k miles on the odometer.

Set the temperature to 73F and "Auto" and see what happens. That temperature is, according to the manual, the optimal setting for the system design. Don't worry about messing with the fan speed or any other manual finagling. If it doesn't work to establish that temperature, then something is not functioning. I never touch anything when "Auto" is selected, other than the temperature knob: on cool/chill days I set the temp to 73; on hot days I set it to 79 or somewhere in between: never had an issue, but also, I rarely feel much air blowing from the vents. The system knows its job. :)

Sounds like its low on refrigerant, check for leaks.

Mine is cold

Wow, sorry about that. My GT1s A/C is super powerful, far better than the 2016 Chevy SS I had. It can freeze your butt off if you let it. I couldn't be happier with it.

I will say I run it in manual, I never use AUTO, all those systems think they're smarter than you. Run it in Manual in RECIRC mode.

Check it out hope you get it running up to par.

^^Agreed.

My 2.5T blows cold air. However not as cold as my G37 did.

I think the trick for quick cold air is to set temp as low as possible, fan speed high and recirc to on. If you leave fresh air on then it's having to work harder to cool.

Also if car's been sitting and hot inside, I'll open the windows for a few min while the AC is blowing. I do try to leave a window cracked open when parked.

Not at all, blows cold. Picked it up from the airport today and it was 80 outside, A/C was almost too active.

It's too cold on my 2.5 Can't get it to just normal cold. It's either Super chill or warm air. Nothing in between. Sometimes I can turn the temp dial to 80 degrees and still get cold air :cautious:

Must be really warm in your cabin, then. The A/C light goes off when you dial high enough.

Wanted to add some comments in reference to post #6, Air Conditioning Weak .

On my road trip last weekend discovered the ac does indeed get plenty cold after a while. Ambient was low 80's and cloudy. Ended up with the ac somewhere around 70F to be comfortable and keep from freezing. Once the cabin cools down, full cold was too cold. I think that initial cool down just takes a bit longer.

What would be nice, on a hot day (like today, 100F), start the car, after it runs a while, ac blows ice cold. Compared to most sedans, there is more interior volume to cool down. Although, i imagine less volume than a suv.
