Aftermarket Sub Installation Planning / HK Amp Pinout?

So the only place I can seem to get full range sound for the subs is off the digital feed out of the head unit. Has anyone pulled sub information from one of the amplified outputs on the factory HK amp?

I've pulled mine off of the high level front door speaker leads.
I don't really have a way to tell if they have a low pass crossover on them though.
I get some additional bass but not a ton. Could be my setup though.

Am I missing something here? That harness wiring diagram must not be for the 15 speaker HK system is it?

The image in post 12 and 16 is correct for the HK system. At least on my 2018.
The orientation is confusing, look carefully at the amp orientation. Connector A in the image is actually labeled with 2 on the harness. Connector B is labeled with 1.

Wanted to chime in... 2019 GT2 and the Subwoofer +/- pin outs were correct... and yes, the amp is mounted strangly. It's screwed in "toward you". If you've pulled the fuse panel and are looking at it it's backwards from what you would think. The "red" plug had the subwoofer outs that I needed. The blue plug has an ACC if you need +12v ignition/on.

Thanks a million for posting the pin out, saved me a ton of time trying to locate these. I'm using the subwoofer 1 & 2 as high level inputs to a Punch T750x1bd amp that has build-in LOC/auto-turn-on. Pushing two JL10w3's. The new amps are small and fit perfectly behind the spare tire.

Sure... here's a shot of the amp mounted and wired up. I didn't take a pics of the fuse/tapping but Theemfinger has some great shots and the schematic in the referenced 8" sub upgrade post.

Thanks for detailing this info for the rest of us. I installed a PPI i650.1 amp

Precision Power PPI i650.1 650W Monoblock iON Series Class D Digital Amplifier

and a JL HO112RG

JL Audio HO112RG-W3v3 High Output Series ported enclosure with 12" subwoofer at Crutchfield



It was a tight fit. The deck doesn't go all the way up because the sub is a little tall. Pretty happy with the results.

What are people using for low pass filter settings?
