AEM vs BMS vs Injen vs K&N

What's going on stinger fam? I should be in the market for an intake within the next few weeks (trying to break the car in and enjoy stock). I was looking at AEM and BMS intakes because of the heat shields. I know that the BMS intake has a metal heatshield in comparison to AEM, and AEM is covers a bit more of the filter than BMS. I also know the installation of BMS is slightly less tedious than AEMs (not that it makes a huge difference). I am just wondering what are people's takes on these intakes. I apologize if there's a thread already like this somewhere. Thank you!

EDIT: We can throw the K&N intake in there too since it's so close to AEM. Definitely let me know what you all think.

I used to have AEMs. Now I have Injens just because I like the way they look better. AEMs sounded louder to me. Power feels the same with both. Looks wise, Its Injen, then AEM, then BMS for me. Can't go wrong with any of them.

How was the install for AEM? Had to cut anything? I heard K&N is very similar.

Pretty easy. just a lot of pieces to put together, but not difficult. You have to trim the BOV hoses for the AEMs.

I have the BMS intakes along with hydro shields on the filters. I like this setup because it's super easy to remove them for dealer visits. If you dont care about the ease of removal I'd say go with the AEM.

@NS_Stinger did the BMS come with the hydro shields, and how's the sound on them? Yeah going back to a dealer definitely concerns me but, it's not like they can do anything just 'cause of a mod.

No I bought the hydro shields separately after I noticed the filters getting wet after touchless car washes. The sound is good, quiet under light throttle and normal driving but incredibly easy to get sound from dipping into the throttle whenever you want. I do think they're a bit quieter than the aem and k&ns which I'm fine with. Nice loud pshhhh after letting off moderate to heavy throttle.

Yes. I had to trim both hoses about half inch to get rid of the kink. Just took a box cutter around the hose. Easy.
