Purchased this remote start kit for my Stinger not too long ago from Accessorides. It’s lightyears better than UVO as it would only take ~5 seconds to start my car vs ~5 minutes. Anyway, I recently sold the car so I have this just sitting around if anyone is interested. Access to app is transferable to new owner and like the title says it does include the “takeover” feature. Is this 100% plug and play? Or is there splicing/cutting into factory wires required?

There are two optional wires that are used to enable the Takeover feature. You do have to make a splice but the barrel style splices I’m including require not tools, do not damage the factory wire, and are completely removable without a trace.

I got mine on some promotion and paid just under $500, so I can concur @$350 is a good deal

To anyone looking to buy, even with wiring in the two wires for takeover, the install was very easy.
Spent more time figuring out where/how to mount it then I did wiring it all up.

So is this work with a whole separate fob or does it work with the oem key fob?

Depends on the model you get:
OEM = stock key fob
1000ft/2000ft = additional fob
Smartphone = OEM fob + app control from smartphone.

To me the the smartphone option is sooo worth it. Most of the time you want to remote start your car well before you get to the parking lot.

Yes this version works with either your OEM key fob or the app. If you have a remote start range extender installed, it actually replaces that module.

Free for 1st year. $40/yr after that.
Really not bad vs what others charge (way cheaper than KIA UVO/Hyundai BlueLink once the free period ends)
