I have searched all over and have not been able to find anyone else who has this issue but it's driving me nuts so I'm hoping someone may be able to help me figure this out. It's been happening since I bought the vehicle I suspect, but it only happens when there's enough water on the road for the car to hydroplane. However today when I drove it, it started doing it constantly almost down to a full stop. It does stop when the wheels stop spinning. It's only the front right wheel that does it, and it sounds exactly like when you brake hard and the ABS kicks on. It's also variable, go slower and it's quieter, go faster and it can get very loud. On dry roads the car drives completely normal. I get no dash lights when this happens. It also does it with traction and stability control disabled but not quite as loudly. Is a wheel speed sensor and an ABS sensor basically the same thing? I suspect I have a damaged one that is allowing moisture to get in and cause signaling issues. I've also had this happen with snow on one side of the road and dry on the other where the ABS comes on like it's trying to keep the car straight, but I can't feel it pulling in any direction like it's actually needed to go straight.
