87 octane in my 2022 GT-Line

I always use 91 or 93 octane in my 2022 GT-Line. But I am in Bradenton, FL and there is literally no gas anywhere right now. I was lucky to find an Exxon Mobil had gas but only 87. So I had to fill up my tank with it.

I know I am just being paranoid but I just want someone to tell me my engine will be perfectly fine having this junk gas in it one time lol

You'll be fine. Car has sensors to adjust to lower octane. In addition, the higher octane really only comes into play when flogging the car (because timing is more advanced and higher chance of detonation with lower grade). Assuming the fuel is not contaminated with water or debris, nothing will happen.

87 Mon is 91 RON. most westernised countries use the RON rating, Europe, Asia, Australia

Only USA Mexico, Canada use Mon.

Australia uses RON standard and RON91 which is standard Unleaded......... is RECOMMENDED by Kia for the Stinger.

You could use 87 in the USA all day and save your self a bucket load of money.

From what I've seen in the news, you might just be stuck on the fwy with everybody else trying to evacuate. There are worse things to worry about; your engine running 87 isn't one of them. Just go easy and take care. You'll be fine.

It is perfectly safe in fact recommended to use MON87, RON91 Octane STANDARD Unleaded fuel.

It is NORMAL

Boost it all you like.
