So now that the options for intake snorkels, (airscoops, ram-air, etc.) have been severely limited, I thought it'd be a good time to release the 3D files for the ones I designed last year.

These snorkels are 2-piece for easier printing and install. They only require a small hole to be cut into the radiator shroud, though you can always remove it entirely. The base piece should be printed in ABS or PETG for heat resistance, but the front piece can be printed in PLA for more color options.

The 2-piece design also allows you to make different shaped mouths to use with the base piece. Mine is angled to flow better with the grille shape, but if someone wants to remix the front piece to be rectangular like some other options or any other shape they want, just edit the STL file.

One reason I didn't market these was me having no desire to do tech support, so while I'll try to answer questions where I can, this design is offered as-is and is fully DIY. I designed these fully myself and it was a good deal of work to measure and design multiple iterations of these until they fit right. I did not copy any other designs that may be out there.

I am offering these up for free, I only ask that nobody try to sell these, and give me a like on Thingiverse if you download them. If you remix a new front end, please cite my design as the basis.

Ah hell yeah! Thanks THWACK!

Wow!!! These are SWEET!!

Wait, free...You aren't pulling a "tork motorsports" are you??

Jk jk

Question about the hole, it looks like you're tracing the end that connects through the radiator wall (?). Does this imply the angled bit of the base part stays the same size until expanding for the mouth/intake side?

** Looking again, I may have the process flipped in my mind, but I suppose some clarity on that step might be useful.

Awesome work!

That is really awesome THWACK ! I was planning on designing a set next month, still might, but your design is nice and similar to what I was thinking. Curious, what program did you use? I work in solidworks, rhino and sometimes Blender. Though, I never thought to use blender for 3D print files until recently as I didn't realize you could. LOL, not sure I thought that way.

@Thwack These are some bad ass scoops. I don't own a 3d printer so I was going to see if a 3dprinter service provider could print them out with your files. Do you know of anyone that would be willing to print them? Obviously I would pay them to do it. I tried getting a qoute but they asked what scale it needed to be printed at?? I wasn't sure as I don't know what the measurements are.

I noticed this thread is old and I hope you you see this message or if anyone else has had these made I could really use some pointers. Thank you

The last time I was at my local UPS Store they actually had a 3D printer available just like regular printing services. Don't know what it cost but I thought it was pretty cool. That being said, any 3D printer should be able to use the stl files provided, but they will need to be "sliced" first. That's as much as I'll say as this rabbit hole goes pretty deep.

Thank you, luckily a member that has printed these before got a hold of me and is currently working on a set for me.

Looks great, @Thwack. had zero issues working with PLA.
just a heads up, the PLA will slowly warp/melt in the hotter months, you should print it again in PETG/ASA and then coat it in High temp resistant spray paint.

Wish someone made these for a G70

unfortunately they dont fit the pre-facelift G70s without some serious changes. The 22+ are much closer but the mounting points are a tad different.

Would you be able to get this person in contact with me? I'm willing to pay for their services of course!

I'd love to print some for my own stinger. There's a small change I would like to make to the snorkel front and after hours of trying to learn to use 3D modelling software I couldn't figure it out :(. Would I be able to pay you to make a minor adjustment of the model for me? If you're interested, let me know how I can get in touch to show you what I'd like changed. Thanks in advance, Ethan.

For anyone who is interested in an alternate look, I remixed the front part of the snorkel.

Can you design boxes for open and oiled air filter (K&N typhoon) to keep engine bay hot air out in combination with this scoop to reduce heat soak and turbo spool time?
