So, got this car over a Lincoln continental, I love the styling I've had it 5 months bought it as a pre owned Kia , the sales person told me with that came a 10yr 100,000mile limited powertrain warranty.. I also bought the 5k after market warranty, anyways driving home from work about 60-65mph. Just shut off NEVER would have guessed the engine! Anyways a couple days before this i notice at idle it would blow cool air, I told service advisor at Fort Wayne Kia about how I think when they did the sc300 recall they didn't bleed the antifreeze and he acted like I was the DUMBEST person he's ever talked to he said "sir the sc300 recall has nothing to do with the coolant system, so that makes no sense" I just said ok yeah you're right, anyways it's becoming ridiculous it's been 2 weeks they made me agree to open the engine to see if warranty would cover it also he told me that Kia doesn't have a pre owned Kia warranty.. so I guess the sales man lied to me. But luckily I bought the 5k warranty from fidelity, I'm having to barrow a car to get to work the warranty the sales person said it had when I bought the car is the ONLY reason I agreed to buy this car over the Lincoln. I mean any help would be great on what to do

Five year / 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, and ten year / 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty absolutely does apply to CPO vehicles sold at KIA dealers. Your electrical which is part of the bumper to bumper is shot by now, unless the original owner bought it in the last few days of December 2019. Anything to do with warranty work that isn't drivetrain will have to come under your supplemental 5K miles warranty that you bought. Hopefully whatever the teardown reveals is covered. If not, that stinks man.

I bought the car with 61,000 miles it has 70,000miles now, I also read online that certified pre owned Kia's come with a 1yr 12,000 mile platinum warranty? Any idea if that's true, because I've had the car less then a year and I've driven it less then 12,000 since I bought it ( sorry I'm just really not getting any answers from Kia) it's been 2 weeks and I mean just the stress of wondering is almost unbearable, I literally agreed to buying the car because as I understand the car salesman it would come with the 100,000warrany and a full year or 12,000 miles of the "platinum" coverage

I don't even know what a "platinum coverage" is. It's not a KIA thing as part of the CPO status, but I could be mistaken. The CPO extends the original warranty as if you the second owner were the original buyer.

Yeah idk when I googled what does the certified pre-owned Kia come with it says
10yr100,000 mile limited warranty
Roadside assistance
Then it also states it would have a full year or 12,000 miles of platinum (bumper to bumper) warranty

Yeah, that's different from my understanding. When we got the '19 Premium it had just finished a three year lease. I was told that CPO extended the original warranty to me. So, when I took the car in for starting issues last year, it was still well within the 5 year / 60K miles warranty for bumper to bumper, which includes electrical. Now, a year later, the bumper to bumper is used up. But we still have four years of the powertrain warranty left.

Certified Previous Owner is an add on that changes the second owner warranty. But it seems to be optional whether or not a KIA dealer uses CPO in resales. And even if they say that they do, the OP seems to have run into one that lies through their teeth.

Yep. Sounds to me that during the sale the sales person was basically correct. Maybe the sales person (no detail on whether it was a genuine Kia dealer or not) basically believed what they were saying.

The car was bought 1000 miles out of warranty, then the remaining warranties are so crap that they don't apply to the car.................they apply to the owner...................

Here, it's a 7 YEAR UNLIMITED KM NEW CAR WARRANTY for the life of the Car..........doesn't matter how many owners.........the warranty transfers to all subsequent owners, in its entirety..............for 7 years. You don't have to, but you can fill out a form, and send it to Kia so they have a record of the next owner for warranty and recall purposes.

Try KIA Canada LOL Once that car transfers owners to south of the border (USA) they are done and wiping their hands of it.

Trust me I know. But, that's okay this is the only KIA I will ever buy. Everything else they build no thanks.
