Just had the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system installed this morning. I had some gear handy so recorded before and after on my Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4k with sennheiser mkh-416 so the audio is pretty good. I plugged the mic in the camera directly and used phantom power from the camera, so keep in mind the camera doesn't have limiters but it worked out (I have an external recorder with limiters but just wanted quick easy takes). There is a BIG difference in sound so to be clear the audio settings were exactly the same for each take.

Overall I'm liking the sound. Waited a long time trying to decide what to get. I was set on Jun B.L. but recordings I heard on youtube seemed a little raspy in the mid to high range. These sound very deep and throaty and to be honest sound better than the stock 3.3T exhaust, which I'm pleasantly surprised about.

There is no noticeable drone, though it is louder in the cabin than before so it will take some getting used to. Interestingly enough, the higher you rev the smoother it sounds and inside the cabin its not really that loud with higher revs. Outside, though you can definitely hear it.

Sounds really good, way better than stock. It has the same deep rumble that my Bimodal has and so far I'm happy with it.

Sounds good, the one thing I was not happy about was the stinger GT 3.3 not having a sport exhaust! The bi modal, whilst I respect people’s choice to have, was too expensive for me and not quite the sound I’m wanting. I was looking at the Magnaflow catback but was recommended the Glasspack catback. The problem is in Australia not many exhaust places have worked on the Stinger so there’s not many places that can say...here’s what will get you the result you want

We were lucky with the deal we made at the dealership, the Bimodal was thrown in so we paid nothing for it.I was always considering a Borla and haven't ruled it out but being a GT that we want to take touring I also don't want to have something too loud which would ruin the driving experience.
I had read what some people were doing on the FBG and pulling out the bimodal fuse for a louder sound so I did it, it's rather ear shattering and too loud and vibrating in the cabin to keep it that way, at least for me. :)

Regarding drone. After a couple days I noticed droning and it was getting louder especially if you're in the back seats. After reading about how people were installing aftermarket exhaust tips and that helping, my exhaust shop extended the exhaust pipes through to the edge of the factory tips and that got rid of all the drone.

I have always wondered why the exhaust pipes weren't in the actual stock exhaust tips anyway, why is there a gap ? someone advised maybe it was to stop any potential vibrations ?

Yeah possibly to prevent the pipe from vibrating/rattling on the bumper. There's a 19 page thread about tips Exhaust Tips discussing this topic. I showed that thread and pictures to the exhaust shop I used and he thought that attaching tips to the exhaust pipe and squeezing them through and touching the bumper opening was the dumbest thing you could do and refused to do it that way. His solution was cutting off the tail pipes at the y joint and welding in longer pipes to extend them.

Stay away from those generic glasspack muffler, unless you dont mind going back to the muffler shop every 3 months or so. I install one on EA888 2.0T engine (VW Gti, Skoda Octavia RS etc), this engine is notorious for its drone due to its transmission mapping, those glasspack completely eliminated the drone (they actually sounded really good) but it only lasted for 3 months before it burnt all its packing.

A better option will be Magnaflow (deeper sounding) or something that come with internal steel wrapping to prevent burn out, Vibrant Performance muffler is a popular option.

The Magnaflow is a great option for the 2.0T and sounds fantastic. I would be happy to hook you up with a pre-black Friday discount if you are ready to buy it. Just shoot me a message and I could also answer any questions you might have as well.

You can view our listing for the exhaust HERE

Would there by any on site deals for the magnaflow on Black Friday? I am considering this purchase as well.

I purchased mine from Hottexhaust.com with the 20% off sale they have going on, MSRP was $1,198.92 so I paid $959.14 total with shipping included. It took 6 days (including a weekend) to arrive after placing the order. That being said, that was the first time I ordered from this company and they have some very spotty reviews, so YMMV. That also being said I've had bad experiences even with vendors that participate on this site.

I can't release any specifics about our Black Friday Sales yet but, we will be posting information soon. We will definitely be releasing a bunch of great discounts on the website. I would be happy to reach out to you after the sale information is posted and discuss some options.

Sounds great! Please let me know as soon as possible I’m quite serious.

This is most likely the case. I've got the 105x75mm oval tips for my Borla cat back. They have just enough clearance, maybe 5mm offset all around, to make it through the stock openings in the bumper without trimming, which is how I left them. Since the exhaust pipes don't perfectly center with the openings (and move as they heat up) the tips rub against the black plastic and can be heard rattling from outside once the car is hot and at idle. The rattle isn't bade and doesn't really seem to affect the interior. I've contemplated trimming, but haven't been motivated.

I actually purchased tips and took them to the exhaust shop but he refused to install them for two reasons: first because he didn't want to trim or alter my bumper and second he said he was certain it would rattle so he recommended the extensions. It solved the problem but it does look a little weird.

This actually makes me wonder why Magnaflow didnt make these longer to begin with to extend all the way to the back.
