I recently made a post regarding the installation of splitter rods and found that nobody actually mounted them to the chassis and would instead install them into the bumper or the lower grill. I wasn’t satisfied with that idea as I don’t enjoy the look of splitter rods and if they are gonna be on my car, they might as well be functional. So instead of the bumper I decided to mount them to the crash bar. After some research I decided it’s probably best to not drill into the crash bar as that could void warranty and interfere with safety systems. Instead I drilled into hose clamps, mounted the rods, and clamped them to the crash bar. I intend to install the lower grill down the line after I take out the “inner” grill to allow the rods to pass through. (I don’t know why some of the pictures are sideways) Here’s the semi final product:

Awesome, Thanks man. Are you going to leave out the lower grill?

Definitely not, I plan on removing the center portion of the grill to accommodate for the rods and I’ll put it back onto the car. I feel as it’s somewhat necessary for aerodynamics and rigidity

For that style splitter that looks necessary. Nice job
