Turbo upgrade.

Not sure if the "mystery G70" comment was referring to me. I have been pretty open about my setup and what i run.

Noone is running full E85... Close but we're not there yet (Except one mystery G-70). Lap3 is a good option and so is Sxth.
Trying to decide between the two is difficult, Lap3 vs Sxth, Sxth’s options do seem nice, however Lap3 has already proven themselves with their tune, I guess time will tell.

I thought where was one guy who was? Also I had emailed Lap3 and heard back that people were able to run full e85 with the tune
That's the mystery G-70 I was referring to, Charles A. That G-70 is a beast. Mystery meaning no one really knows how that particular car is getting away with it and not throwing a lean code. He does run CPI though.

Has anyone installed the "SPOOL PERFORMANCE FX-180 UPGRADED HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP HPFP"? Wondering is that would give us enough room to run e50+ to support a turbo upgrade. Providing we solve the heads studs, transmission, and transfer case limitations

Im not even sure how it is. haha. There are 4-5 of us now running full E. Same setup as many others but they don't seem to be able to run more than E60. I have noticed 22 models have more trouble running higher E.

On the stock ECU with JB4/CPI I can't run more than E50. It would throw a lean code while cruising.

The guys I know that had it have since removed it after going with CPI. I haven't seen anyone get close to E50 with the Spool HPFP.

I'm on that list, LOL I got an FX 150 for sale if anyone wants it.

Can the 7th injector added with CPI really be sufficient for all that extra fuel? Also, if I'm not wrong what if someone were to tie in a better LPFP and then add more injectors through CPI, would that be able to get enough fuel for a turbo upgrade on E85?

To answer the first question yes, I've run as high as E65. As far as more injectors I've been working on that solution for several months. So far I have this Phenolic Spacer which sets the conditions to do full Port Injection. I've sold about a dozen and everyone has given me good feedback. I truly believe it helped me hit 10's.
Next phase for this spacer is predrilled and tapped inserts for Injectors. I'm working directly with US Rally Team usrallyteam.com who will do most of the R&D for injector sizes and setup. 20220409_131541(1).webp

I'm not really too technical about cars, just know the basics haha, but bare with me. In terms of adding more injectors though, would it not be possible to weld another bung onto the hot or cold side of the intercooler? I know eventually you'd run into issues with atomizing the fuel if you have too many injectors off of the stock low pressure fuel pump correct?

I've finally got to where I can make a few of these a week on my home CNC.

What is it? The equivalent of a Carb spacer but made specifically for the 3.3tt. They are subjective, but I will tell you first hand my installed prototype in no way hurt performance, in fact it wasn't until I installed it that I hit my 10.9x.

So this unique spacer can accomplish several things.

1. Raising the upper portion of the intake from the lower intake separating the air fuel (meth/CPI) from the heat source. This reduces average IAT's, which in turn creates a denser mixture. On average I cruise between 6-9 degrees above ambient air.

2. Increases plenum volume which is also a subjective topic, but it's proven in my car to be enhancing.

3. Gives 1" additional space to get at that allusive plug 3. Yes pulling out that coil pack now is as easy as the rest.

4. For the next level guys out there, this phenolic spacer sets you up for direct meth injection, direct port injection, or even direct NOS.

For the pundits, I realize other guys have hit 10.9x, my reply is, who's to say if they didn't have this they might of been a 10.8x?

If interested let me know, I make them as requested and turn around is less than a week. It comes with stainless extended bolts, washers and gasket material for a complete installation. https://stingertop20.com/shop/ols/products/1-phenolic-spacer-for-the-kia-stinger-33tt

What problems were you seeing with the FX150?
Nothing really, When I went CPI I put the stock one back in. When I had the 150 in, I didn't even have the flex sensor so my mix was never accurate and I never truly knew what I was running. I'm selling it for $800 if anyone is interested.

I feel like we have talked on Facebook before about another project.

Just curious what supporting mods are needed to do an upgraded turbo kit?

Honestly not worth doing bigger turbos until the turbo manifold issue is resolved, it necks down to about 1" so trying to shoving more air through It only causes serious back pressure issues. There are a few of currently working on it. Including me... I'll update possible in the next few weeks.

Has anyone tried out the mambtek OEM+ turbos ?? My friend told me they seem reputable but I’m iffy. I’ve tried looking up if anybody purchased any but no luck
