Did my first launch w/jb4 and TCU tune

Today at the track what I did was stage, when I see the first yellow, I floored the gas and on the third yellow I let go of the brake. My times were more consistent, my best was 12.366@113mph.

Yeah, I have logs for every run, I haven’t gone through them though. I will and see what it shows for boost and timing corrections.

Nice! I’d think the addition of the bms intakes you’ll be able to shave another tenth off so deeper into the low 12s which is more what id expect with those mods.

Here is the log from my last run of the evening. This was a 12.43. Running map 4 with E30. Highest boost was in 4th gear, 19.3 PSI. Most timing corrections were 0, a few 0.8 and 1.5.

you may be able to push the car even higher. your highest correction was only 0.8, as the first few rows are your car going into launch control mode, which is causing the timing pull there. the car will do that even stock so they may as well not be counted at all. You launched on about 8lbs of boost at 2650rpm, nice! If you shift a little earlier across the board. try shifting when the tach in the car hits 5k in 1st gear and 52-5300 in the rest.

OK, thanks. I wasn't using manual shift, the TCU is set to -8%, so is lower shift points than stock. I will try manual shift next time.

I won my bracket that night. Only 8 cars in my lane, so three rounds.
Everyone I raced was slower, the fastest was a 370z dialed in at 13.5, but they all seemed to dial in way too conservatively as I caught them all well before the finish and I let off so as not to break out. I dialed in at 12.5.

Got a trophy, they run 4 lanes, two for domestic cars, two for compact imports.
Beside that, I think it’s up to the discretion of the guy doing the tech inspection and giving you the lane. It’s pretty laid back, it’s just for fun. Only costs $20 to enter.

Yeah. There is talk that they might close down the track in a couple years, but rumors have been going around for years so who knows.

I’ve since added some e30 and tried out maps 2-5 the past week. I need to get my Dragy going so I can see which is most beneficial to my setup, but map 5 felt strong today for sure. Also have some BMS intakes coming in the mail this week that I’m going to get on this weekend so hoping I feel a nice difference with those.

This car hauls ass though and I’ve never driven anything as quick. Also never gotten so many other cars looking to run me and so far only engaged with a c43 amg from a 2nd gear roll to a two to one lane merge with no other traffic around. He barely beat me because I was still getting used to map 1 on my car and I haven’t put much mileage on yet at less than 1k since I bought it in June.

I got my BMS intakes on, but haven't been to the track yet. Last Wednesday I was camping, and this Wednesday it is supposed to be 107 degrees (down from 115 today, yikes!). Just too hot for me.
Supposed to cool way down next week.
My map 4 timings all looked great, so I will try map 5 then.
