Hey everyone let’s use the power of this great stinger forum and flood weather tech with requests for floor liners for the 2018 stinger. According to their website they have not yet developed them for the new Kia stinger but if we can all go on their website and request them they will more likely go find a stinger quickly and laser measure which is a 1-2 day process for weather tech and they would be to market very quickly for available purchase.

It is free to request product for a new car as they will just email you once they become available in case you want to purchase them. With enough requests we can surely fast track the availability of this well needed product to protect our new stingers.

the Heavy Duty OEM Stinger rubber mats are 15% off this week at Kiaaccessorystore.com, perfect fit !

The Kia oem rubber mats are no comparison to the weather tech laser fitted floor liners.

i'll take that bet , laser fit for the oems too , I posted pics under the heading" rubber mats" or something similar. If we were talking about the Canadian version I would agree with you .................

Dear westcoastgt

You are quick to post to many threads so let me ask you. Have you ever had weather tech liners in a car you own? Do you understand what they are and how they differ from the oem mats? I already know the answer to these questions but maybe you can enlighten the rest of the group that may value the need for what I originally posted this thread for? If you are not interested in supporting this thread or the idea of this thread than kindly move on to something you can support in a positive manner.

I'm not trying to rain on your thread , I offered a readily available option for members , Yes I have had Weather Tech mats and they work fine , but I would add that they dont have the oem lock for the in car hook and they dont have the needles to hold in place to the carpet , additionally adding their rather bold brand is not something I find appealing for a Sports car . Your key point seems to be "laser fit " , well the OEM mats I'm referring to are 100 % Stinger Fit dedicated and come in both AWD and RWD formats . I received the 15% off KIA OEM mats email this morning and was about to push it out to the ,members for their potential interest when your topic was posted . My logic was and is simply these are excellent quality , fit like a glove , branded STINGER and ..........available now ............on sale . I'm sorry and apologize to you and any members who take offense , none was intended .

My key point was not that they are laser fit but rather that those interested in the weather tech mats support the thread by requesting the availability from the manufacturer which clearly you are not.

If u have had weathertech in the past which u have stated you would already realize the weather tech badges are removeable and they do have the oem hooks and furthermore they don’t require needles on the bottom cause they fit perfect.

As I recall u already have a thread for oem mats. This thread is not for oem mats but clearly your lack of knowledge on the weathertech product leads you to believe otherwise.

I have weather tech on my car and my girl's, both have homes, hooks to fit into holes, hooks on the car to keep it in place, please don't spread false information.

Whoa, dude. He apologized. No need need for a cheap shot. We're all Stinger fans here...

Cheap shots? If someone is talking out of their a$& and clearly does not understand the product and as Linus said is spreading false information you better believe in going to call them out especially when they are trying to hijack a thread. It’s disappointing that someone that already had a thread on a specific item cannot respect others for placing a thread that may be an alternate discussion to their thread. I could of easily brought my topic into his thread but I did not I created my own. Hopefully we can move forward with the original topic if anyone is interested in my original intent.

Hey Expert4 , I went thru my extensive collection of old mats and found the corresponding summer mats for a BMW that had the WT winter liners , which I have since sold BUT from examining the "locking" device , these mats utilized 2 velcro style rings ................. to extend that this is what WT did to match the OEM "Lock" makes sense and clearly is what I believed was how they worked . Now since we dont know what the Stinger WT will look like I will assume they will adopt the hook lock like the OEM winter mats I have; I made 1 mistake in my views on the WT liner and as before apologize .....................

Let’s move on and hopefully we can try to get this thread back on topic. Sorry if I have sounded harsh but my intention is to use this forum to make my experience along with everyone else’s better for Kia stinger owners. There are many people like myself that do hope to purchase weathertech mats so I am hoping to help myself and others.

I have owned weathertech mats in 4 different cars and I have experienced them in numerous other friends and family’s vehicles also and in all cases they have adopted the factory attachment locations built into the liners.

I will also contact WT and put my request in to have mats made for the Stinger as well:) in hopes that all the WT fans can soon get them

I am a previous purchaser of WeatherTech mats. I was dissatisfied outright with a non-laser-fit set. And the laser-fit set that were for our Acura TSX has not worn well, the lip on the driver's side is well separated from the sill area. They collect snow/water/dirt fine, but don't look all that great after a few years. A darker color will look better.

I've opted for the Kia all-weather mats and am happier with their product than I have been with the WeatherTechs for our Acura. I'm all for the competition and encourage those WeatherTech fans out there to make their desires known. But in this consumer's opinion, WeatherTech isn't necessarily the pinnacle of product for the floors of your vehicle.

Bit of a savage comeback buddy I don’t see anything bad about what Westcoast is saying but you seem a little touchy. We are all here to get along not to give sharp remarks. If a member is incorrect it maybe a good idea to be polite , it’s part of the forum rules, if you read them. :D
