Followed StingEm's advice and ordered hitch from Etrailer. They shipped it for free and I received it in 3 business days. It arrived in good condition. Very happy with Etrailer.
My detailer recommended Auto Arts in Raleigh NC for the install. They did a fine job installing it and they did it in 2 working days. The price matched the estimated price of $422.50 plus tax.
Installing a hitch on a Kia Stinger is beyond the capabilities of your average hitch shop. It's much more complex than bolting a hitch to a pickup truck. Taking the rear bumper/fascia off a Stinger and carefully cutting it and then reinstalling it is best done by a body shop. Don't use a hitch shop to install a hitch on a Kia Stinger, take it to a good body shop or intelligent/skilled mechanic.
No modifications to the Draw Tite hitch were required for the install. It fit right out of the box. All the mounting hardware was included and used.
To me it was worth the $422.50 for a quality install with no problems. Highly recommend the Draw Tite hitch and Auto Arts in Raleigh.

Ohh, the installation was pretty costly. I had misunderstood 422 to be total, thank you for the reply and clearing that up.

Did you have wiring for lights installed as well? I have a hitch mounted to my Stinger, but want to be able to tow a small boat trailer (for my Hobie). Right now there's no custom wiring harness available in the US.

No light socket for me. I use it as a bike rack holder.

I just had the Draw-Tite installed on my Stinger. Took it to a shop that does all the hitches for the city and most of the suburbs (dozens of police cruisers in the parking lot). About $525 total. The shop is an official Draw-Tite supplier (that's what all the municipal vehicles have) so they ordered the hitch.

Huh? I don't get it. I had a Sorento SX before. Now that the kid is older, I wanted something a little sportier, yet able to haul some people/stuff.

The maximum tongue weight is 200 lbs.

The only hitch available is the Draw-Tite which is Class 1. Class 1 bike carriers typically only allow you to carry 2 bikes so as not to exceed the maximum tongue weight. (Remember that the hitch itself has some weight - typically 30-50 lbs)

For that reason, I bought the Thule Helium Aero 3 which is a Class 1 hitch that only weighs 19 lbs and can accommodate 3 bikes.
