Having second thoughts about getting one

I thought it was important to add why and how I made a decision as I would not want anyone who goes through this thread in future to misunderstand. I think your comments was pretty spot that's why added a clarification.

PS: I have seen my friends spends more than pre-tax annual income income on cars.
I will bet they also complain about the overall cost of living being too high too?

It's hard to say how much someone should spend on a car. If you have some discretionary income, spend it on whatever makes you happy. Some people like going out to eat at a nice restaurant once a week, some people like to travel, some people like a big house, some people like expensive clothes, some people like to drive a nice car. My Stinger payment is 13% of my monthly take home and I'm very happy with the decision. I could have saved money and gotten a cheaper car but honestly, for an extra $200 a month I bought a car I actually ENJOY to be in as opposed to just a car that while comfortable, was just a mode of transportation.

Unfortunately what ever you pay you will never get back with a car financially but so far as the emotion of driving it....priceless. I already have my sights on my next car but thats a while off yet. Buy the Stinger enjoy the ride!

I once bought a car for 13 k(mustang gt) then found out they have a spark plug issue ,and a worse paint set up than kia, so with in a year I sold it for 12 k a thousand dollar loss...but I'd take a 90 dollar a month ''lease '' on a mustang gt any day. Thats the way I looked at it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Bhai, good choice on the car; hopefully Bhaabhi isn't a badge snob :p

Hahahaha. Haven't been able to get one. The dealer kept lying when it will arrive then I had to come out of the country for few days.

Logically ordinarily I could never justify a luxury vehicle but as AV8R indicated you only live once (Except for James Bond who "only lives twice" ) however we can make life adjustments to compensate such as baked beans on toast for meals etc.:laugh: Maybe I should make another thread? But then again maybe the Stinger was a step down from a higher end vehicle for some?

My assessment on the decision was with the head, so much value with all the bells and whistles for a price much less then something European. I knew it was their (Kia) "Halo" car .I jumped on early as I thought future year models might rise when it became popular. Selfishly like some others I hope it remains relatively obscure and appeals to us "Non brand snobs" . I've had people and peers come up to me and say "Admiral sentiment old chap but frankly I personally can't get over the badge, but good on you if that tickles your fancy or floats your boat". Then they say i'll stick to my Audi/BMW/Jaguar/Merc.
I say go ahead buy your base model German/Italian car and pay the extra $10k for Nappa leather etc. My head and heart are in sync. As I say "Go on you know you wanna":laugh:

Totally agree, just like my colleague at work with a 3 year old Audi A4 2.0L turbo AWD (sorry not familiar with correct designation) just had 60,000kms Servce done $1,990.00 WTF, nothing special but fluid changes etc. he also complained of a coolant leak, dealer couldn’t find the problem but my colleague did, overflow bottle was split, when does that ever happen, IMHO you can keep your Euro overpriced cars & like @Ozstung I’ll stick with my Korean sleeper.
