Now that I have mine and have been driving it daily, I want to ask how owners rate the noise level on the car. I'm over 1k miles on mine now and the tire noise went down some but I notice in the rain I hear some water noise from the street. Now to be fair, I don't drive any different when it's raining, except if there are puddles of water on the road, so this is at highway speeds +.

Let me know your experience in the dry and wet. Thanks.

Pretty damn quiet till 60, past 60 the road noise ramps way up, but it's still the quietest car I've owned.

Once I get the hatch rattle fixed. :(

Yep, that's what I'm seeing as well. I know when we test drove a GT last year it was quiet up to 80 before the road noise crept in.

Agreed! Past about 65 it gets on the louder side compared to my 16 Ford Fusion and mk7 GTI. The sound is almost enveloping to be honest. No hatch rattle (knock on wood!) but the road noise seems to be more pronounced towards the rear of the car. It's not a deal breaker by any means but for what is supposed to be a GT highway cruiser, the cost cutting in that department was a slight miscalculation in my opinion. I think some dynomat in the trunk would do wonders!

Yes, to this being the quietest ride I've ever had. The road surface is the predominant factor in changing road noise. Some surfaces are horrible. Others are whisper quiet, even at freeway speeds. Generally speaking, I don't even notice any road noise till well over 60 mph. It could be because I have my music turned up pretty loud (unless I am with my wife, then I notice road noise sooner, because she doesn't like a lot of bass and she prefers the volume way down so that I can hear her).

what about wind noise at freeway speed? obviously with radio off...
It's pretty quiet. The Stinger has double paned, insulated glass, at least the windscreen and front windows (so I have learned here). In a strong crosswind, the wind noise is noticeably increased. Turn up the volume! When I engaged in a bit of high speed temptation, the wind noise did not seem to go up much at all.

I dropped the car off Wednesday to have a few things checked, brake vibration, driver side window not closing fully and to get the faulty trim piece replaced. Picked it up Saturday and the brake vibration was gone as well as the driver side window now closing all th way. I noticed the car seemed a bit quieter but today while out in the rain, I realized the noise from driving through a puddle wasn’t as high as I recalled and that at 80 the wind noise was less. My buddy even commented that the wind noise was a lot less than a week ago (at which point I realized the speed and had to agree). I was told the window or something was out of alight meant on the drivers side but whatever they did, it made the car quieter.

Now I recall reading here that the car had some sort or noise cancellation system, has this in fact been confirmed? Is it possible some sort of tuning was done to affect the sound now? Curious to know if this is true. I’ll keep an ear on things and report my findings.

I have a GT2 AWD. At 2500 miles now and the noise I hear is more tire related, the wind noise is not as loud as before.
